Greetings Friends,

I hope those of you in the U.S. enjoyed a fabulous Thanksgiving. The hubs and I stayed close to home, hosting out-of-town friends for Turkey Day, and then carving out (so to speak) time to hit the highlights of NYC decked out for the holidays - the Christmas Market in Bryant Park, the Holly Jolly Holiday Bar, a holiday pop-up in Manhattan's Meatpacking District, and of course the Rockefeller Center tree. Still to come: two Broadway musicals - "Death Becomes Her" and "The Lion King" (finally!) and a Christmas lunch at historic Pete's Tavern in Irving Place with fellow authors Kate Braithwaite and Nancy Bilyeau.

Further to Nancy, a signed copy of her latest wonderful historical mystery novel, The Versailles Formula is the prize for my December book giveaway.

โ€‹THE VERSAILLES FORMULA follows intrepid Georgian era art sleuth, Genvieve Planchรฉ, from London to Paris where she must track down a rare pigment of pure blue coveted by royalty, chemists and spies, all whilst fending off feelings for a handsome new romantic interest.

Iโ€™ll choose 1 winner (U.S. residents, only) from among my History With Hope and Author newsletter lists (existing + new sign-ups), so if youโ€™re not already subscribed to one or both of these free newsletters, you can fix that here!

First-time subscribers to the Author Newsletter automatically receive a free ebook: my Victorian "My Fair Lady" with-a-twist historical romance, TEMPTING.

Books make great holiday gifts. In addition to my recent historical fiction releases, IRISH EYES and STARDUST, I have four Christmas romances on offer: IT'S A WONDERFULLY SEXY LIFE, โ€‹TWELVE NIGHTS, TOMORROW'S DESTINY, and A CINDERELLA CHRISTMAS CAROL. Enjoy these timeless titles as ebooks and audiobooks.

Browse my entire backlist here.

Want me to give a talk to your book club or other group, either in-person or via Zoom?

IRISH EYES is available wherever books are sold, including these online and brick-and-mortar booksellers.

Wishing you and yours a peaceful and joyous holiday season!

Hi Friends, June sped by, my free time spent packing in as many New Jersey state parks as possible and powering through Ken Burns' The American Revolution. And yet somehow July sneaked up on me, hence this newsletter going out later in the day. As we're all ramping up to ring in America's 250th birthday, I'll keep things brief. On Thursday,...

Hi Friends, May was mostly a writing month for me punctuated by reading and Netflix. I absolutely adored The Widows of Malabar Hill, the launch of Sujata Massey's "Perveen Mistry" mystery series set in 1920s Bombay and centered on a lady lawyer-cum-sleuth. Further to female lawyers in history, I binged all three seasons of "The Law According to Lydia Poรซt," a...

Hi Friends, April here on the east coast saw winter holding on with a vengeance though we did have one week of beautiful, sunshiny reprieve during which the Hubs and I seized our chance to check out the annual orchid show at the New York Botanical Garden. This year's program was Mr. Flower Fantasticโ€™s Concrete Jungle โ€”...
